이매진 드래곤즈(Imagine Dragons)의 새로운 싱글,Walking the Wire 가 6월 16일 발매되었습니다. 물론 새로운 앨범 Evolve에 수록될 곡이겠죠.
싱글 Walking The Wire는 총 4곡으로 Walking The Wire,Whatever it takes,Thunder,Believer 로 구성되어있습니다.
앨범 표지역시 매력적인 이매진 드래곤즈의 새 싱글은 이미 많은 분들이 좋아하는 곡들이죠. 이번에는 Thunder를 준비했습니다.
뮤직비디오가 특이하죠. 역시 한국계 영화감독이자 뮤직비디오 감독인 조셉 칸(joseph kahn)이 제작했네요. 얼마전 One Republic의 Wherever I go의 뮤직비디오도 제작해서 국내에서 화제가 되기도 했죠. 이미 수많은 뮤지션들의 뮤직비디오를 제작해서 유별날 것은 없지만,
뮤비내에서 한글자막과 한국배경등으로 독특한 구성으로 One Republic이라는 대그룹의 뮤직비디오라 더욱 국내팬들은 반갑고 신기했기도 했겠지만, 3살때 이민을 가서인지 동양적인 느낌만으로 일본과 중국코드가 뒤섞여 있어 저에게는 묘한 반감(?)을 일으키기도 했던 뮤직비디오였죠.
어쨌든, Imagine Dragons의 Thunder 뮤직비디오도 조금은 독특합니다. 그룹임에도 멤버들이 악기를 연주하는 씬(Scene)은 하나도 없이 흑백의 필름(?)에 외계인들이 특이한 춤을추는 장면으로 전체 뮤직비디오를 이끌어 갑니다. 그렇기 때문에 더 신비감이 있는 것 같기도 하구요.
댄 레이놀즈( Dan Reynolds)의 춤실력을 볼 수 있는 기회는 덤(?)입니다.
이번 싱글과 새로운 앨범으로 다시한번 투어를 돈다면 대한민국을 그냥 갈 수 없겠죠? 아니면,여름 페스티발의 초청밴드가 되어 우리앞에 다시한번 라이브를 보여주기를 기원하며....
